Deformation StarNet Manual

Deformation survey is important in detect movement of the structure. By using specific points on the building (structure), the three dimensional positions of the point are determined precisely. There are 2 type of deformation technique:

Relative Deformation
RO is located in the structure itself or to some arbitrary points nearby. It may move during a survey but this does not affect the results obtained. As an example by using Micrometer joint measurement.

Absolute Deformation
RO is located outside the actual structure, in the foundation or surrounding terrain. It may affected by the structure and movement. The assessment of permanent deformations requires absolute data.

Deformation survey can be required for the following applications:
• Dams • Foundations • Roads • Construction sites • Tunnels
• Mining • Bridges and Viaducts • Settlement areas
• High-rise and historical buildings • Earthquake areas

In this blog, Geomaticyber wanna give to you the manual of how to generate the deformation data in the StarNet software. Usually, the raw data will be enter in the note pad file format. So, in this manual Geomaticyber will give the sample of raw data in the note pad file and the result in the .dwg format. I hope that people can use this manual for the future work, job, task etc. You can download it following link below:

Note: Using StarNet software, we can process the redundant data or a bundle of data to make the analysis especially in monitoring survey..But, other else we also can use the StarNet software for generate the traverse to measure the accuracy of traverse misclose/misclosure..For the next time i will post to you the manual how to generate the traverse misclose/misclosure accuracy using StarNet software..
